AIDO

THE 3rd HAND OF ENDOSCOPIST

AIDO will facilitate non invasive complex procedures to help early diagnostic and treatment of patients with digestive cancer.
Our mission is to transform the fight against cancer through innovation in endoscopy.
FACILITATE EARLY TREATMENT OF PATIENTS WITH COLORECTAL CANCER ENDOSCOPICALLY
Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths. In 2020, around two million new cases of colorectal cancer and one million deaths occurred worldwide. By 2040 colorectal cancer will increase to more than three million new cases per year. When discovered at an early stage, patients with digestive cancer can efficiently be treated by non invasive, endoscopic technique and avoid the burden of surgery. The rise of this technique is however limited by its complexity and the level of resources involved. By improving the capacity of the current endoscope, AIDO will facilitate patient access to non invasive, best-in-class treatment with limited resources. AIDO’s intuitive usage will ease its adoption without the need for extensive training.

FACILITATE AND STANDARDIZE COMPLEX BIOPSIES OF PANCREAS

With over half a million deaths per year, pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive forms of cancer. Without any improvement in the past decades, it is on its way to become the second cause of cancer-related death by 2030. Usually discovered at a late stage, its survival rate is poor. Diagnostic of pancreatic cancer by the mean of a biopsy performed by endoscopy is a complexe and manual procedure, which precision depends on lesion size. AIDO is developing a robot compatible with endoscopes to facilitate and standardize biopsies of small lesions of the pancreas to help early detection of cancer.

Our Technology

AIDO BRINGS FORTH AN INNOVATIVE SOLUTION TO ENDOSCOPIC PROCEDURES
AIDO’s technology is a true intelligent assistant for the endoscopist, a modular system made up of hardware and software components. AIDO is an add-on to endoscopes, compatible with equipment currently used. AIDO will be used in a wide range of indications in endoscopy in order to increase the performance of practitioners and help them carry out complex procedures in an increasingly resource-constrained environment and optimize patient outcome.
